The Route 26 Cruisers are a group of car folks that like to find excuses to get together and do all sorts of interesting stuff. Some might even call us a social club who happens to own cars.  We do have a lot of fun and often the less fortunate in our area benefit from it.  How can that not be a really good thing?  And never forget - Drive to eat and eat to drive!  On that note, check out our monthly Friday night cruise destinations by using the Shows tab on the left and looking under the "Weekly Events" heading.  Always a fun time!

(Thanks Terry and Carolann for putting this together every month)

Who are the Route 26 Cruisers?

  • Our club was established in 1997 in Sandy, Oregon by a handful of car nuts who wanted to use their hobby to have fun, serve the community, and encourage young people in automotive programs.
  • We’ve outgrown our original meeting place at Shorty’s Corner and now our 70+ members meet 7:00 PM the first Tuesday of each month, at the Clackamas County Bank in Sandy. All are welcome to come and attend a meeting and meet us.
  • We hit a local attraction or burger joint by having informal mini– cruises on Friday nights during the summer months.
  • High School kids are the future of our hobby! We partnered with PGE to provide two computer systems & printers to the Sandy HS automotive shop program. We also have a fund for the high school automotive program which awards scholarships to high school students that are going on to more education in the automotive industry.
  • All year long we collect food for the local food bank, and purchase holiday gifts for teens to help with the Kiwanis' Christmas basket program. We also host a week-long cruise, called Cruise Oregon, which to date has traveled around Oregon, Idaho, Montana, California, and Canada. Along the way, we raise money to support the various charities the Route 26'ers support.
  • We foster a healthy rivalry between all manufacturers but most of all we like to have fun and wherever you find us you'll usually find something good to eat!
